My research focuses on CO2 conversion into value-added products using microbial electrosynthesis cells. Developing metal/carbon-based cathode architecture with a dual function for effective supply and reduction of CO2. Enriching and isolating novel microorganisms from Red sea brine pool, salt marsh, and mangrove sediments, that can sequester CO2 to medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs). These microbes have commercial value in contributing to the circular economy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
