Dr. Marie-Laure Pype

Biography

Dr. Pype is currently a postdoctoral research fellow​ at the University of Queensland, Australia.
After a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and a Master’s Degree in Analytical chemistry, Marie-Laure worked for 2 years at the Laboratory of Environmental Biotechnology (INRA-LBE) in Narbonne (France) on the analysis of micropollutants in environmental matrix. In 2010, within the framework of the Western Corridor Recycling project, Marie-Laure joined AWMC in Prof. Jurg Keller and Dr. Wolfgang Gernjak research group to start her Ph.D. on ‘Monitoring reverse osmosis membrane integrity and virus rejection in water reuse’.​
After completing her Ph.D., she lead the WaterVal project to develop national guidelines to monitor reverse osmosis membrane, project funded by the Australian Water Recycling Centre of Excellence (AWRCoE). Currently, Marie-Laure is involved in projects related to water recycling/reuse in red meat abattoirs.
