Professor Peng Wang, an environmental scientist and engineer at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), has been honored with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Water Award for research that uses renewable energy to produce clean drinking water.

Professor Pascal Saikaly and Dr. Muhammad Ali, a former research scientist at KAUST and currently an assistant professor at Trinity College Dublin, have recently completed the installation of the first KAUST-invented decentralized wastewater treatment unit in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia.
