Biography

Dr. Daniel Bond, a McKnight Land Grant Professor and Assistant Professor of Microbiology, joined the BioTechnology Institute from the University of Massachusetts in 2004. 
At BTI he has continued to work on isolating bacteria that can grow on the surface of electrodes and be used to release energy in the form of electricity from renewable biological sources. Bond's work combines microbiology, electrochemistry, chemical engineering, and microfabrication in exploring the interface between biology and electricity.​
