Amber Siddiqui successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation titled "Biofouling Control in Spiral-Wound Membrane Systems: Impact of Feed Spacer Modification and Biocides," ​she was advised by Professor Johannes Vrouwenvelder. 

Siddiqui's research focuses on strategies to manage biofouling in spiral-wound reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membrane based water filtration systems. Her research involves novel approaches like modified feed spacers, hydrodynamics, substrate limitations, and advanced cleaning strategies tested on lab-scale membrane fouling simulators.
