KAUST's Winter Enrichment Program (WEP) hosted a Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Poster Competition on the University's campus. Held on January 20, this year's poster competition attracted entries from many students and researchers, as well as international undergraduate students. Two outstanding WDRC members were awarded on this day.
WDRC postdoctoral fellow, Abdou Abdouelmagd won for his poster entitled “Recharge regimes of the Saq Aquifer System in Saudi Arabia”, in which he focuses on understanding the nature, origin and hydrogeologic settings of the Saq Aquifer System based on inferences from water hydrochemistry, stable isotopes, and noble gases geochemistry, he was supervised by Prof. Matthew McCabe.
And Ph.D. candidate Poornima Madhavan was awarded for her poster entitled “Asymmetric Block Copolymer Isoporous Membranes- Complexation with Silver and Gold”, she was supervised by Prof. Suzana Nunes.
