Research Interests

Alejandra's research explores the microbial dynamics, changes, and possible functions of different microorganisms during the drinking water treatment utilizing different tools such as next-generation sequencing (NGS), metagenomics, and FlowCytometry, among others; the main objective is to investigate and characterize what and who is in the produced drinking water to ensure the biological stability of the latter.
