Research Interests

  • New eco-friendly bioelectrotechnological processes and bioelectrochemical steering of natural microbial cultures and/or microbial pure cultures; 
  • Designing, constructing, and characterizing novel ecological bioelectrotechnological processes using different reactor types and scales; 
  • Mastering diverse analytical techniques (electrochemical techniques, chromatography techniques such as HPLC and GC-MS for analysis of compounds of interest, and others); 
  • Design (using CAD) and supervise the construction and utilization of standardized bioelectroreactors.
  • Numerical modeling of mass transport, diffusion, convection, and (electro)reaction in micro and macro-fluidic settings using finite element modeling with COMSOL Multiphysics;
  • 3D Printing for rapid prototyping;
  • Biocorrosion.
