Research Interests

Samonina's research focuses on the utilization of various microbial communities such as anaerobic ammonium-oxidizing bacteria (anammox) and polyphosphate-accumulating organisms (PAOs) for simultaneous removal of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus from wastewater in bioreactors.
