Ph.D. student

Research Interests

Marczewski's research focuses on sustainable wastewater treatment using AnMBR (Anaerobic Membrane Bioreactor) with organic co-substrates to enhance energy recovery in the form of biogas and promote water reuse for irrigation and fertilization. He investigates the impact of stressors on microbial communities and aims to leverage this for biofouling mitigation and the removal of emerging contaminants.
