Research Interests

Dr. Manjunath's research focuses on identifying and harnessing the latent potential of microorganisms in natural and engineered systems towards a bioprocess development that is robust, environmentally friendly, sustainable, and caters to the next generation. 

Specific research areas include: 

Aerobic granular sludge for domestic and industrial wastewater treatment, 
Microbial biofiltration systems for wastewater treatment,
Resource recovery,
Metal-microbe interactions,
Antifungal compounds and probiotic potential of bacteria.
