Research Interests

Dr. Narayanasamy's research focuses on understanding complex microbial systems (i.e., microbiomes) using integrated multi-omics data and methods. The main systems of interest include wastewater-related microbiomes such as activated sludge and membrane biofilms. Development of innovative microbiome-based solutions, e.g., microbiome monitoring/diagnosis tools, microbiome engineering/manipulation strategies, phage therapy/engineering.
